Responsibilities
LOGISTICS
- Safely load, secure, unload, and transport equipment, dumpsters and materials to and from job sites in a timely manner using a truck and/or trailer
- May position tarps or straps and tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit
- Maintain clear communication with leads to ensure accurate deliveries and material needs are met
- Assist with other tasks/runs errands as assigned for the Construction Team as needed.
- Conduct dump runs to dispose of waste materials
- Inspect vehicles, trailers and equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, hydraulics, gas, oil, and water to ensure vehicles are operating optimally when needed
- Assist with organizing materials at the warehouse and job sites for optimal workflow
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures on the job site and on the road
PRODUCTION
- Provide quality general labor for completion of a variety of construction tasks such as demolition, roughs in, prep work, framing tasks, fixtures, millwork and hardware installations
- Safely operate various tools and equipment including: hand tools, power tools, saws, measurement equipment, etc.
- Installs and repairs outlets, fixtures, doors, cabinetry, appliances, etc.
- Maintain a clean working environment and maintain good working order of tools and equipment
- Walks projects and monitors construction progress and elevates areas of concern to Project Manager or Project Superintendent
- Assists with the coordination of, and occasionally attend city and/or third party inspections
- Assists with performing quality control checks of projects at various phases in the project life cycle
- Maintains cleanliness of job sites by sweeping, cleaning, pulling trash etc.

- Must have basic knowledge of and comfort with simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, fractions, etc and methods of measurement, etc
- Must be able to complete a set of given tasks in a timely manner
- Must be able to think critically to solve problems efficiently
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment in various conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and debris
- Must be able to read and follow instructions, communicate clearly and effectively
- Must be able to review and understand blueprints and drawings when necessary
Other Requirements
- Must have 2 years construction experience. Experience with a specific trade is a plus!
- Must be knowledgeable of, be comfortable with and have the ability to safely operate a truck and dump trailer, common construction power tools and have the ability to troubleshoot and effectively resolve problems using them.
- Possess a valid driver license and well maintained vehicle with ability to drive 90-100% of the time to job sites, vendors, etc. in the Greater Houston area.
- Must have a clean driving record and valid and current driver’s license.
- Be able to sit, stand and bend for multiple hours within the work day.
- Be able to load/unload construction materials, up to 75 lbs.
